As a Temperature Controlled Sales Executive - focused, you will be responsible for having, developing and maintaining strong relationships with refrigerated (temp-controlled) carriers with expert emphasis across the Midwest, South and Southeast. You will leverage your expertise to ensure competitive pricing and optimize load coverage while adhering to the specific needs of temp-controlled freight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Temperature-Controlled Carrier Relationships: Develop and maintain temp control carrier relationships with temp-controlled carriers, particularly in the Midwest and Southeast regions.
  • Temperature-Controlled Pricing Expertise: Provide expertise in pricing and negotiating rates for refrigerated freight, staying current on market conditions.
  • Load Coverage: Pre-book temp-controlled loads, find backhauls, and manage assignments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Carrier Accessorials & Paperwork: Approve accessorials, manage carrier payments, and ensure the collection of required paperwork, such as PODs.
  • Temperature-Controlled Carrier Engagement: Maintain carrier scorecards and conduct reviews to ensure optimal service and performance.
  • Temperature-Controlled Carrier Development: Increase lane density for temp-controlled lanes, manage Mailchimp contacts, and oversee rates for RFPs. Collect bids and log carrier lane preferences.

Education/Experience:

 
  • At least 2 years of experience in carrier sourcing, carrier relations, operations, freight or logistics coordination, or procurement.
  • Proven experience in temperature-controlled carrier procurement.
  • Established relationships with temp-controlled carriers in the Midwest and Southeast.
  • Strong negotiation and pricing expertise in the temp-controlled market.
  • Knowledge of compliance and requirements for refrigerated freight.
  • Experience with inland freight environments, freight brokerage, FTL, or truckload, and multi-modal.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Pay: 80,000-95,000 annually
