As a Flatbed Carriers Sales Executive, you will focus on having, developing and maintaining carrier relationships in the Midwest, South and Southeast regions, with a strong emphasis and expertise on flatbed carriers. You will ensure competitive pricing, negotiate rates, and manage load coverage to optimize profitability while ensuring high service levels. Your knowledge and expertise of the flatbed market and your flatbed carrier relationships will drive capacity and coverage across various lanes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Flatbed Carrier Relationships: Leverage and expand your existing “Flatbed” carrier relationships in the flatbed market, particularly in the Midwest and Southeast regions.
  • Flatbed Pricing Expertise: Stay updated on market trends and provide competitive pricing, especially in the flatbed sector.
  • Load Coverage: Pre-book loads, find backhauls for dedicated carriers, and manage load assignments, dispatch drivers, and send rate confirmations.
  • Carrier Accessorials & Paperwork: Handle carrier paperwork, approve accessorials like lumper and detention fees, and ensure prompt payment to carriers.
  • Carrier Engagement: Manage carrier scorecards, conduct reviews, and monitor carrier performance to maintain a high level of service.
  • Carrier Development: Build lane density, particularly for flatbed freight, and work on dedicated opportunities. Manage rates and costing for RFPs.
